DANG IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
My daughter-in-law has been working on a marathon for THREE YEARS.
In the past has had to pull out BEFORE the marathon for a stress fracture and other foot injuries.

She was running the Disney full today, and had to pull out at mile 19.

I am so disappointed for her!!!!!!!

Now completing a marathon does not MATTER, but it MATTERS TO HER, so it MATTERS.

She's tough. Physically, mentally, emotionally. But this is just one more in a long line of disappointments. Life has dealt her some pretty rough blows.
My little nun friend reminds me, "the things we don't understand--THAT'S where faith in God really comes in."
