It is time for us to submit our races for inclusion in the 2009 ARK GP series. As everyone knows we had two races this year, the 4Mile Classic and the Sara Low 5k. We have gotten very good feedback from GP runners around the state about the quality of our races. This is a great credit to our club.
I have talked to a few folks. Everyone has said we should continue as a participant in the series. I am posting this note to get any additional feedback from you WRR club members. Unless anyone strongly opposes I recommend that Ken submit the registrations for our races.
Let's give a week for feedback/comments and then submit 9/24. We need to get in a little early to confirm the dates we want. Right now it looks like it would be August 1 for the 4Mile Classic and September 5 or 12 for the Sara Low.

we should go ahead with plans to keep both races in the Grand Prix.
I think we saw a boost in the turn out for SLM this year. Maybe it will be even better next year. _________________ If you don't see the sun rise, you're not getting the most out of your day. |

This may come across as ignorant but I assure you it is not on my behalf.
Could someone please explain to me what is this GP Series thing. I am thinking it is the more y`all WRR compete in them the more points y`all get.
Thanks. _________________ " sometimes you have to fail to succeed " |

I also vote that we keep it in the series. I think it will help with the turn out of the races. _________________ It's not the speed; it's the WILL. |

Ok girls we have only 4 women signed up from WRR for the Grand Prix season, in 2008 we had 17 women. We have to have 3 runners per grand prix race to get points for that race. Is there anyone else who thinks they will sign up _________________ Jennifer D. |

Lisa, did you not send in B.L.'s entry form? He isn't listed but you are.
Who else is planning to sign up? When will your first race be?
I think mine and Dana's will be the Valentines Day run. _________________ If you don't see the sun rise, you're not getting the most out of your day. |

The cost is $15, and you can register online, or print out a mail-in form here:

Robert,
I decided to register online instead of mailing mine. That night I tried to get B.L. to register but as you can see...We won't get to run until the River Trail anyway. I have a meeting on the 24th and Valentine's Day I might be a little busy arranging flowers |

Good luck in your quest to iron.... The club has had Ironmen and Ironwomen in the past. It would be nice to have another except you will have to miss the SLM race to do it. _________________ If you don't see the sun rise, you're not getting the most out of your day. |
