The Arkansas Marathon may move back to Booneville according to this article.
http://www.boonevilledemocrat.com/articles/2009/12/30/news/news1.txt
I ran my first 10K race at the Arkansas Marathon/10K in 93'. I remember thinking how cool it was to have an all u can eat chili, sandwiches, pies, and sodas after the race. The 10K was a flat out & back on Highway 10, and the marathon went 13 miles east on Highway 10, past the town of Magazine, and turned around near Blue Mountain before returning to the Booneville schools. The race was run on March 6, the year I ran it. The LR marathon uses that date now, so I hope they can find a good date that isn't too warm and doesn't conflict with other Arkansas marathons. |

| Rick- Have you ever ran at Mt.Magazine? There is a 15K there in June. I have been there once & it's beautiful. I was thinking hubby & I might go for a few days. I don't know if I will do the race or not, but I would have plenty of time to train for it. |

I ran the 15k before and it was a lot of fun. Course is mostly flat with a slight incline at the end.
It's a neat run, try to have a car at the end with clothes in it, I got cold once I got to the top. I enjoyed it and would run it again. _________________ Run For Life. Run For Health. |

| Thanks Ken, but I am a bit concerned about your comment about the slight incline at the end. I know this means a mountain of a hill. LOL |
