A really good article on the front page of today's Wall Street Journal about mega marathoners--people who have run hundreds and hundreds of marathons.
Dang.
Made me think WE (meaning US, yes, even YOU, DINSELL) might all be NORMAL compared to these people............
Anyway, one of the individuals in the article has run 1636 marathons, and he said his goal for the last marathon he did was, "to run this marathon in finish time--whatever time it takes to finish." Sound reasoning.
Article states one tally of mega marathoners counts 167 MMs worldwide, 33 in the U.S.

I visited with Norm Frank after his 899th marathon in Tulsa. That was four years ago this weekend. He was 74 yrs young at the time, and he has run 67 marathons since that Tulsa run. I pray he has a speedy recovery from his stroke.

I also have run with Larry Macon (105 marathons in 2008) in a couple of races. Both are extremely nice gentlemen, with a lot of enthusiasm.
