Select Physical Therapy 4-Mile Classic

    Familiar runners win newly named 4-mile race, By Paul Glover, Guard Sports editor. Ian McFarland, 21 and a senior at the Air Force Academy, won the Select Physical Therapy 4-Mile Classic Road Race on Saturday morning, crossing the finish line on Main Street in a time of 21 minutes, 4 seconds. McFarland won the 2003 race in Batesville just before his senior season as a star cross country and distance runner for the West Plains Zizzers, one of the nation's top high school running programs.

    Sarah Olney defended her Select Physical Therapy title with a time of 26:02. The 29-year-old Oklahoma native lives in Little Rock where she works as a physical therapist for the Arkansas Family Care Network. She won last years race in Batesville en route to winning the Arkansas Grand Prix title.
