Mountain Home's Clint Pevril leaves field
behind in 9th 4-mile Classic Run

Clint Pevril of Mountain Home cruised to a first place finish in the 4-Mile Classic Run Saturday morning, and managed to do it just a few ticks short of the record time. Pevril won the race with a time of 20:39, just 8 seconds off the record time set by Chris Zinn in the 1985 race. Pevril finished 26 seconds ahead of Chris Marcak, the defending champ.
Marcak, who arrived in Batesville at 4 a.m. Saturday morning after an all-night drive from Colorado on Friday, clocked a 21:05 to win the 20-24 age division.
Donna Falkenheim of Little Rock was the first woman across the finish line. Her time was 25:24. Sharon Munford of Jonesboro was second with a time of 25:37.
